Preparations are underway for the final funeral rites of Ghana’s legendary Highlife musician, Daddy Lumba, scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The ceremony, themed “A Celebration of a Legendary Life,” will bring together family, friends, fans, and industry colleagues to pay their last respects to the music icon whose artistry has inspired generations.
Born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, Daddy Lumba passed away on July 26, 2025, after a remarkable career that spanned several decades. His soulful voice, heartfelt lyrics, and countless hit songs cemented his place as one of Ghana’s most influential Highlife musicians.
The upcoming event is expected to attract thousands of mourners and admirers from Ghana and abroad. According to family representatives, preparations are well underway to ensure a dignified and memorable celebration of his life and enduring legacy.
