
Liberia’s Deputy Minister of Education for Administration, Latim Da-Thong is being treated for the COVID-19 virus in Ghana.
Mr Da-thong was flown into Ghana over the weekend, in what has been described as a “diplomatic arrangement” between the two countries, after his condition deteriorated.
According to Liberia’s Front Page Africa newspaper, Mr Da-thong is being treated at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and is said to be stable.
Meanwhile Liberia’s education minister, Ansu Sonii is also undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in his country.
Liberia has so far confirmed 652 coronavirus cases with 34 deaths while Ghana has recorded 14,568 COVID-19 confirmed cases with 10,907 recoveries or discharges and 95 deaths.
