Authorities of United Front Party (UFP), headed by Dr. Nana Agyenim Boateng (Gyataba) has petitioned the National Executive Council (NEC) of the NDC to disqualify their Former General Secretary, Mr. Prince Moses Zakaria from Contesting in their upcoming parliamentary primaries in Madina.
United Front Party, however, cautioned the NDC to shy away from their former General Secretary and shouldn’t entertain him because he has no credibility to contest an election in the NDC.
” We also wish to as a party, warn and urge the NDC not to entertain persons such as our formal General Secretary, Mr. Prince Moses Zakaria, who we hear intends to contest for the Parliamentary seat of the people of Madina on the ticket of the NDC.
According to Dr. Nana Agyenim Boateng, their immediate-past General Secretary, Moses Zakaria was dismissed from the party for anti-Party misconduct due to his affiliation to some political parties in the country and was also caught leaking sensitive information of the UFP to the NPP on several occasions.
In a press statement, Dr. Nana Agyenim Boateng revealed that until the UFP sanctioned him from the party as the General Secretary, he worked against the NDC so there is no way he could contest an election in the NDC because he can’t be trusted.
The UFP Authorities in a statement called on the vetting committee of the NDC at the Constituency level to disqualify their General Secretary on grounds of trust.
Meanwhile Zakaria is set to contest the incumbent Member of Parliament Francis Xavier Sosu in their upcoming primaries.
