Osabarima Ateabisa Pobi Kentenka Asomaning, the overlord of Asamankese, on last Wednesday 5th July, 2023, celebrated Ohumkan on the 5th Awukudae of the year.
At the durbar, Osabarima thanked the Almighty God, the ancestors, the river gods and goddesses for peace, security and prosperity of the town.
During his speech, he commended all stakeholders in the municipality for their professionalism of work in all sectors, and prayed that they will keep such standard at all time.
Osabarima lamented that he has heard about the recent cries of his people especially market women and assured them of measures being put in place to resolve these cries.
He also added soon major drainage system within the municipality will see massive dredging to help improve the lives of his people.
Osabarima made a passionate appeal to his citizens in home and abroad to join hands to help bring developments to the doorsteps of Asamankese, for government alone cannot do all if citizens do not help.
Osabarima in his final remarks added that his doors are open to any investor who intends to bring job creation for his people since there are lands available for such purposes.
