The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) and Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have jointly addressed the recent power outages affecting parts of the country.
According to their statement released on September 25, 2024, the disruptions stem from issues at Ghana National Gas Company’s Gas Processing Plant in Atuabo, which reduced gas supply for power generation.
GRIDCo and ECG apologized for the inconvenience, assuring that engineers are working diligently to resolve the issue and restore full gas supply.
They expressed optimism that normal power supply will resume once the Atuabo plant problem is fixed, urging the public to remain patient as they strive to minimize further disruptions.
