Former Ghana head coach Otto Addo has been appointed to the FIFA Technical Study Group (TSG) for the 2026 World Cup, world football’s governing body FIFA has confirmed.
The TSG is responsible for analysing every match at FIFA tournaments, assessing tactical systems, team structures, set-pieces, transitions, and the growing use of performance data.
The panel also contributes to the selection of major individual awards at the tournament, including the Golden Ball, Golden Boot, Golden Glove, and Best Young Player.
Addo, who previously led Ghana at international level, will now take up a technical role in evaluating matches at football’s biggest tournament.
