Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has asked event organizers outside Accra to allow him to perform earlier at shows, saying his energy levels drop after 1 a.m.

In a post on X, the musician said although many fans enjoy partying until morning, performing around 4 a.m. is physically difficult for him.

“My energy is at its highest level until about 1 a.m. max,” he wrote. “Any moment after that, my body starts to shut down.”

Sarkodie said organizers should try to put him on stage earlier so audiences can “get the best” out of his performances.
