The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted a teacher at Bole Senior High School in the Savannah Region following allegations of sexual misconduct involving a student.
In a statement issued on June 16, 2026, GES said it had become aware of a disturbing video circulating on social media which allegedly depicts inappropriate conduct involving the teacher and a student of the school.
According to the statement, management has initiated investigations into the matter and directed that the teacher be interdicted pending the outcome of the investigations, in accordance with GES rules and regulations.
The Service strongly condemned all forms of amorous relationships between teachers and students, reiterating its zero-tolerance policy towards sexual misconduct. It further cautioned staff to uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct at all times.
GES also assured the public of its commitment to ensuring the safety, protection and well-being of students within the educational system, stating that appropriate disciplinary and legal action would be taken against any individual found culpable.
The statement added that the matter is being treated with the utmost seriousness and that further updates may be provided as investigations progress.
