King Paluta’s management team has written to the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) to express concern and seek explanation for the omission of his popular song ‘Makoma’ from the nominees list.
According to a statement released by King Paluta’s management, the concern arose after they discovered that ‘Makoma’ was not considered for any of the categories they had submitted it for, following the official nominees announcement.
The management team believes that ‘Makoma’ remains Ghana’s most popular song released during the year under review. They have expressed trust in the competence of the TGMA board and are seeking a convincing explanation for the omission.
“We believe in the competence of the TGMA board and trust that a convincing reason will be issued to our team, music enthusiasts, and the general public regarding this decision,” the statement read.
“We are confident that ‘Makoma’ meets all moral and ethical requirements of the board and are willing to engage with the board for possible consideration of the song in the categories submitted earlier.
