Ghanaian reggae and dancehall star Samini is set to bring a week of festivities to Dansoman this December with the 2026 edition of Samini Xperience, a festival combining music, culture, community service and opportunities for emerging creatives.
The festival was officially unveiled at a media launch on Friday, October 16, 2026, where details of the week-long celebration and its focus on community development, cultural expression and emerging talent were highlighted.
Scheduled for December 18 to 24, 2026, the festival will culminate in a major concert on Christmas Eve, December 24.
The initiative seeks to celebrate Dansoman, a community closely associated with Samini’s early life and career, while showcasing its culture, supporting local businesses and creating opportunities for young talents.
The week-long programme is expected to feature a range of activities, including community clean-up exercises, a health walk and health screening, a food bazaar, a celebrity basketball tournament, talent showcases, fashion events and a street carnival.
Other planned activities include school improvement projects, donations of medical supplies, tree planting and mentorship opportunities for young creatives. A football gala is also expected to form part of the sporting activities, alongside other events designed to encourage community participation.
The grand concert on December 24 will feature performances by Samini, other established Ghanaian artistes and emerging talents, providing a platform for experienced performers and the next generation of musicians.
The event is being organised in collaboration with the Dansoman Municipal Assembly and is expected to attract music lovers, residents, visitors and entertainment industry stakeholders.
Further details, including the full artiste line-up and additional programme information, are expected to be announced as the event approaches.
