The owner of Bucharest football club (FCSB), Gigi Becali, has said the team is playing poorly because his players are having too much sex.
FCSB have won just three of their last nine games, and have slipped to fourth on the league table.
“My players are making love with their girlfriends too often, that’s why they aren’t playing football so well lately,” Becali said.
He even went on to use league leaders CFR Cluj as an example, stating that their coach, Dan Petrescu, is keeping his players contained.
“Look at Dan Petrescu,” he said.
“CFR players have sex only once a week. They meet with women only once a week.”
